Registering is free during our launch period. Normally there is a one-off £30 administration fee, which is currently waived for everyone who registers. There is no ongoing subscription.

Amanah Eritrean Marriage is for Muslims of Eritrean heritage living in the UK who are looking to marry. It is run by a small team of Eritrean professionals based in the UK.

Your full profile is seen by a limited number of staff who run the service, purely for managing it and for matchmaking. Their access to it is logged, they are under strict instructions to keep what they see confidential, and we handle your details in line with UK GDPR. Your photograph is narrower still: only staff of the same sex as you see it. Other approved members see your photograph, your answers and the display name you choose. They never see your full name, your date of birth, your email address, your phone number or your wali's details.

Yes, a photograph is part of your profile. Potential matches, other approved members who meet the requirements you gave us, see it along with your display name and your answers. Within our team it is seen only by staff of the same sex as you. We look at every photograph before we accept it, and your profile is not reviewed until we have one we can accept. If we cannot accept the one you send, we will email you and ask for another. Nobody sees it before your profile is approved, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

We check your details and our team reviews every profile before it is approved. We may contact you if we need any more information. Once approved you can sign in to update your details and to see profiles that match what you are looking for. Other members only ever see your photograph, your display name and your answers.

Introductions are arranged by our team, so no member needs your contact details to reach you. In future, approved members will also be able to look through profiles and register an interest themselves.

Around ten minutes, in six steps: who the service is for, about you, your photograph, family and faith, what you are looking for, and your contact details and consent. Sisters are asked for their wali as well.

Yes. You can withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your details at any time, without giving a reason, by emailing amanahem@emca.org.uk.
